Automotive Classy Bentley Continental GT V8S Gets ADV.1 Wheels Published 2 years ago on February 20, 2018 By Vanja K. There’s seemingly nothing that’s so uniquely British as elegance. Yes, the French may have more success in fashion and art, but as far as poise and finesse go, the Brits do it impeccably. The same principle can and always could be applied to their cars. Simply put, they are some of the most elegant machines ever to grace the roads. As a result, the contemporary Bentley models are some of the finest high-performance luxury machines the car world has seen. The same principle can easily be appointed to the Bentley Continental GT V8 S model range. Introduced in 2013, the idea was to offer a more performance-focused driving alternative to the standard V8 model, while retaining its distinctive red enamel winged ‘B’ badges. The vehicle comes with a sports suspension lowered by 10mm, revised damping and uprated anti-roll bars improved agility, body control and cornering relative to the Continental GT V8, while the recalibrated steering provides enhanced feedback and feel. The Continental GT V8S models feature a 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 520 bhp (388 kW / 528 PS at 6,000 rpm) and 680 Nm of torque. As a result, the heavy hitter can reach 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, before climbing all the way up to 192 mph (309 km/h). Additionally, the vehicle features a clean and unsuspecting body kit. This consists of a front splitter, side sills, and a rear diffuser. The kit boosts aerodynamic performance by reducing front-end lift, thus improving stability at higher speeds. The look is completed by a striking gloss black radiator grille and 20-inch open spoke wheels, complete with red painted brake calipers. To many, this is the pinnacle of Bentley’s offerings in the Continental GT range – if you don’t want to go to with the more aggressive and track oriented Bentley Continental GT3-R – that is. For many owners, the only lacking area of the Continental GT V8S are the wheels. This is where companies like ADV.1 Wheels come into play with their custom-made forged wheels. This particular Arctica White Bentley Continental GT V8S comes from EVS Motors, ADV.1’s authorized dealership in Texas. With their input and vision, the wheel company produced a set of ADV15 Track Spec CS Series fifteen-spoke wheels. The client decided to go for a set of wheels sized 22×9.5 in the front and 22×11 in the rear, filling up Bentley’s huge wheel arches perfectly. The wheels feature a Polished with Gloss Clear finish for both the wheel front and lips. Thanks to advanced engineering and custom, per application wheel design and machining, where various items like the excessive forces of such a high load rating vehicle taken into account and incorporated into a wheel setup that provides not only a good looking wheel but also, a weight optimized and performance oriented one.
